I enjoy adventures like pulling myself across a raging Alaskan river by pulleys hanging from a wire string above and across the river on the way to the Kennecut Copper Mine. Or walking beyond the artificial newly constructed Great Wall of China down to the crumbling real Great Wall. Or seeing Greece with Greek Australians from the second and third largest Greek cities in the world; would you believe from Sidney and Melbourne?
We got special treatment by seeing the Parthenon around midnight as well as special preferences from Greek restaurants and Greek dancing establishments. Or sleeping on top of a mountain overlooking a sunset view of a Norwegian fjord. Or while attending a National Science Foundation Summer Institute in Geology and Chemistry, climbing Pikes Peak. Or being the first person to jog the paved streets of Nome, the destination of the Idirod dog sled race.
